Records Managers Forum - 17 November 2011
The November Records Managers' Forum was held in the State Records' seminar room in The Rocks with over 70 attendees. The overarching theme was 'risk and recordkeeping'.
The Forum included the following presentations, podcasts of which are available on the State Records Future Proof website:
- Anne Picot, from the University of Sydney and the International Standards Organization's Records Management Committee, discussed current work items being developed by the Committee. Projects are underway to help define, mitigate and address the range of risks affecting records and their immediate and long term management - Risk assessment for records and records systems - current projects in the international standards environment
- Deborah Naray, Manager Corporate Information, University of Technology, Sydney gave an overview of the recordkeeping assessment programs that have been implemented across the 200+ business units at the University - Risk and records at the University of Technology, Sydney.
- Kate Cumming, from State Records' Digital Recordkeeping team, who spoke about 'Meeting the challenges of digital recordkeeping' - Meeting the challenges of digital recordkeeping.
Kate Cumming's and Deborah Naray's presentations have accompanying PowerPoint presentations available for download. Deborah's presentation also has accompanying extracts from documents developed as part of the University's assessment program.
