Newspaper excerpt, 1893
This newspaper clipping, dated 15 October 1892, from the Daily Telegraph, gives a report of a meeting between members of the Woman's Suffrage League and the Colonial Secretary. The League was active in arguing for equal political rights for men and women, in particular, the right to vote. Louisa was an active participant and council member of the League for many years. This article contains several quotes attributed to Mrs Lawson.
