John Cann will be presenting this seminar at the Warringah Library Family History Group. He will examine shipping and immigration records held by State Records NSW.

State Records holds many records relating to NSW gaol inmates. John Cann will be presenting this session on these records at Tuggerah Library.

State Records holds records relating to immigration to Sydney in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Gail Davis will be speaking at the Blue Mountains Family History Society Seminar about free immigration 1845-68. Her talk will include records on bounty and sponsored immigrants and those that paid their own way.

John Cann will be presenting this talk to the Ku-ring-gai Historical Society WWI researchers and writers group. It provides an overview of the NSW government patriotic fund raising efforts during the First World War.

Come along to hear about the NSW Government's role during the Great War and records giving an insight into life in NSW during the war years. Hear about the military horse census and records relating to Gallipoli and Anzac Day, the contributions made by Government employees who went to war, including those who didn't return, those who survived and what happened to them afterwards. Follow this with a guided tour of the Public Service/War Service exhibition.

Gail Davis will be presenting this session at the NSW & ACT Association of Family History Societies Inc Annual Conference, 11-13 September 2015. As well as presenting this talk Gail will also be hosting an exhibitors table at the Conference.

The Colonial Secretary, under An Act for regulating places of public exhibition and entertainment (1828), reviewed all applications for performances to be held in New South Wales. Thus the Colonial Secretary’s letters received includes the scripts of plays from the 1840s and 1850s. Janette Pelosi will be speaking to the Parramatta and District Historical Society about the variety of performances and entertainments in Sydney and elsewhere in the colony.
