a) This list is arranged by the last date on a particular file, eg a file with papers dating between 1829 and 1841 will appear near other files concluding with papers dating 1841.
b) The titles of many of the files are unreliable and should be regarded only as a guide to the material actually contained.
c) Bundles marked *ARK are part of the Archives Resources Kit which is available at various community access points throughout New South Wales. The majority are indexed in the Index to the Papers of the New South Wales Colonial Secretary, 1788-1825.
