Information you need to provide
In order for us to copy the correct card/s we need you to provide the Item Detail from Archives Investigator. To obtain this information go to NRS 9873, Photographs of doctors, 1888-1927 and scroll down to "Record items in this series". If we do not receive this information we may be unable to proceed with your order.
You must provide:
* Name in full (include middle name if known), and
* Item Detail - this will help staff to identify the correct photograph
Service Fee
The fee for this service is $28.00 which includes the copies for the first entry, the administrative fee and postage/handling. Additional entries (up to five) are $8.00 each. Overseas orders incur an additional $3.65 postage charge.
We accept Visa and MasterCard. Cheques or money orders should be made payable to State Records. We do not accept personal cheques from foreign banks. Express postage is available on request, extra charges will apply.

This series consists of photographs of doctors applying for registration as medical practitioners in NSW. The photographs were required by the Medical Board of NSW from the beginning of 1889 to assist in the future identification of those issued with a licence by the Board. Signed photographs were to be furnished to the Medical Board's Secretary prior to the applicant's appearance in front of the Board. Some photographs contain the photographer's business details and most photographs are undated.
