Reader's Ticket Application
Do you need to apply?
A reader's ticket is required to access original State archives at the Western Sydney Records Centre. If you do not have a reader's ticket and your research will involve the use of original records then fill out the form below.
If the records you require are copied onto microfilm/microfiche then you do not need to apply for one.
Who can apply?
Anyone over the age of 15 years may apply for a ticket. Applicants under 18 years must have the application countersigned by a parent or legal guardian. A reader's ticket is valid indefinitely.
Personal information
The personal information collected for an application is used to: help ensure the protection of State archives; track the issue of records to our reading rooms and assist us in planning and allocating resources. Personal information may also be used to notify readers of any change to our services.
How to collect your reader's ticket
Once we have received and processed your application we will send you a confirmation email which includes your new reader's ticket number. On your next visit to the WSRC bring along a copy of this email or state your new reader's ticket number on arrival to the reading room so we can issue your ticket.
Proof of identity
You will be asked to show proof of identity, in the form of documentation that confirms your name, signature and address before your ticket can be issued. We do not record or keep details of this documentation.
