Archives in Brief (AIB) were fact sheets that were available on our old site up to June 2016. The Archives in Brief have now been replaced by the more versatile Research A-Z section.
Like Archives in Brief, the new section is an excellent starting point for your research. The Guides give you brief historical information on a particular topic, along with a list of the most relevant records in our collection. Guides do not provide entire lists of records relating to a particular topic, but give you practical tips and information to help you carry out your research.
