The NSW State Archives includes a vast collection of photographic images created by NSW Government agencies, beginning in the late nineteenth century. The original format of these images range from glass plates and lantern slides to 35mm negatives, colour transparencies and prints. The State Archives digitisation program aims to bring many of these ‘hidden’ images to light, using the latest technologies. In this session for WEA Sydney Anna Gray will talk more about this initiative. Then join Anna and Jennifer Sloggett to learn more about the photographic material in the collection, some of it hidden in plain sight, and how you can make best use of these records in your research.
