#OnThisDay 24 June 1914 Samuel "Jewey" Freeman was arrested at Strathfield Railway Station while attempting to board a train for Melbourne. A few weeks earlier, Jewey along with Shiner Ryan, successfully pulled off the "Eveleigh Heist", when they robbed the Eveleigh Railway Workshops of their payroll and escaped using a get-away car for the first time in Australia.
