Transferring archives

This option continues to be the most common approach for paper records, and may be suitable for certain types of electronic State archives. We have issued guidelines on transfer under section 29 of the State Records Act 1998 and public offices are required to comply with these requirements.

The guidelines are set out in Transferring records to our custody.
