Education and training in recordkeeping is relevant to all records and archives workers in the NSW public sector. Undertaking further education is a means to advance your position, improve your skills and learn more about recordkeeping in today's rapidly evolving business environment. Whether you have learnt 'on-the-job' or already hold a formal qualification, there are a wide array of opportunities available for furthering your knowledge or obtaining additional qualifications.
State Archives and Records NSW offers a program of short course training. While these courses do not provide a specific qualification, they are designed to give participants practical and comprehensive knowledge of records management requirements and tools in the NSW public sector. Descriptions of all courses offered and dates are included in the current Training calendar.
Some Universities offer Information Management courses that may cover records management but they are not specifically designed for records management. Please refer to the ASA website for more information on accredited universities.
Some private institutions also offer Records Management training. Esset Australia (Relevancy Consulting ) is one of these institutions.
Esset Australia is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) under the Australian Quality Training Framework.
Relevancy Consulting is the sole provider of recordkeeping trainers to Esset Australia for the development and delivery of VET recordkeeping courses.
Courses can be delivered though either the classroom environment or by distance education.
