Sydney Records Centre

Effective from 30 June 2012 State Records closed its city reading room at 2 Globe Street, The Rocks. 
For information on the relocation of resources follow this link. Copies of the core of the State's historical records are available as apart of the Archives Resources Kit, which may be accessed at 40 community access points throughout country New South Wales. A number of other institutions and organisations around the State also hold parts of the kit and copies of State archives.

Our Western Sydney reading room is located at:

There is ample parking and a well equipped readers' lounge, where there is a microwave and a refrigerator.

As there are no shops nearby, we provide free tea and coffee. If you are planning a full day's research we recommend you bring a packed lunch with you. Wheelchair access and toilets for the disabled are provide.

Opening hours of the reading room

Monday - Friday
9.00 am - 5.00 pm
Saturday

10.00 am - 4.00 pm

Sundays & Public Holidays
CLOSED

The reading room is wheelchair accessible and toilets for the disabled are provided.
