About the index

The index is from the following volume:

NRS 17514, Item 11, New South Wales Government Railways and Tramways, Roll of Honour, Employees who fell in defence of the empire, 1914-1919
The volume, printed in 1924, provides details of railway employees who worked for the New South Wales Government Railways and Tramways and who lost their lives as a result of their service in the First World War. Details recorded include name, branch and military unit.
State Records has recorded the military units as printed in NRS 17514 in 1924 in this index. It is possible that there are errors in the original record and readers should verify military information with records held by the Australian War Memorial and the National Archives of Australia.
