Getting to the Western Sydney Records Centre
By car
Take Parramatta Road to North Strathfield and then turn onto the M4 motorway and continue to the Mamre Road (St Marys) exit. Turn right onto Mamre Road and follow to the Great Western Highway. Turn left onto the Great Western Highway and proceed to O'Connell Street. Turn left into O'Connell Street and keep going until you reach the WSRC (143 O'Connell Street). The trip from the city is approximately 50kms.
Take the Great Western Highway until it becomes the M4 at Emu Plains. Proceed along the M4 to the Northern Road exit. Turn left onto the Northern Road and proceed to the Great Western Highway. Turn right onto the Great Western Highway. Turn right into O'Connell Street and keep going until you reach the WSRC (143 O'Connell Street).
By public transport
We recommend taking a train to Penrith or St Marys stations and then catching a Westbus Route 770. There is a bus stop at the entrance to the WSRC. The buses leave St Marys and Penrith railway stations regularly throughout the day. See the bus timetables below for more details.
- Westbus runs a service from Liverpool/ Bonnyrigg/ UWS and Penrith. (Route 835) This is irregular but available at the beginning and end of the business day
- Busways runs a service from Macquarie University/ Epping/ Parklea/ Quakers Hill/ Emerton and UWS (Route 750).
There is also a taxi rank at both Penrith and St Marys stations.

There is a reader's lounge equipped with a fridge and a microwave as well as complimentary tea and coffee.
We do not provide lunch facilities. If you are planning a full day's research we recommend you bring your lunch.
There is free parking at the WSRC.
